The Trauma Brain eBooks

Throughout this free four-part eBook series, we explore the impact of past trauma on those of us living with the experience of COMPLEX PTSD. How it causes an imbalance between Amy's fight-or-flight response and Chloe's rational thinking. We also look at how cortisol affects our bodies and how a faulty negative feedback loop can contribute to the symptoms of Complex PTSD, leading to triggers, flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, and depression.

Through metaphorical storytelling, I aim to explain the intricate interplay between different brain regions and hormones, along with the need to rebalance the negative feedback loop that contributes to the experiences of individuals living with PTSD. Overall, our main theme is understanding the impact of trauma on the brain and finding ways to strengthen the rational brain's control over emotional responses in order to begin healing from Complex PTSD.
