Meet Nikki

Nikki is a writer, advocate for mental health, and Ambassador for Lifeline. She has dedicated over 30 years to supporting others facing difficult situations, holding positions such as a project family worker in the criminal justice system and designing programs for palliative care, mental health, and various branches of the court and prison systems. After surviving a traumatic incident while working in a maximum-security prison, Nikki's life was profoundly altered, leading her to confront Complex PTSD. Writing became her path to healing, culminating in her powerful memoir, Uncomfortably Comfortable, which explores her journey through trauma, resilience, and recovery. Nikki is passionate about raising awareness for mental health and offering hope to those navigating their own healing journeys.
